So, maybe you are tired of hearing me talk about the Sergio Martinez vs. Manny Pacquiao fight. But you will just have to endure just a few minutes more. I was just wondering if anyone out there placed a bet on the fight. Did you win? Did you lose? maybe you don’t want to share that answer. If you lost a lot of money, that is probably understandable.

A friend of mine placed a bet on the fight for the first time ever. She typically doesn’t do something like that, but she was just sure she knew who the winner would be. She read a lot about both of them, looked at their records, and then went with what she called “a gut feeling.” Was her feeling right? Hmm, keep reading and maybe I will tell you!

When I asked her how she learned so much information about the two men, she said that she read several web pages from sports betting sites. Apparently these sites are all about sports and set up in a way to help those who enjoy predicting the outcomes of sports events know the ins and outs of how things are going behind the scenes.

Okay, so I will tell you now. She did win! She did not bet much, so her winnings were less than $100, but she had a lot of fun doing it. And telling us about it… over, and over, and over. That’s okay. I’m really happy for her.
